Medical Research

KVA has developed technology for the purpose of measuring very low velocity fluid flow within the human body. This technology is currently being used to validate several theories related to the unusual incident rates of three kinds of cancer.

In another area of research, KVA is adapting complex, large scale computer models used in nuclear engineering for use in modeling cellular biochemical processes. The current focus is to create an accurate model of various cells and their interactions within their local environments. These models will help in understanding cellular processes on a micro level and permit simulations to be performed related to such areas as disease progression or drug interaction.
